GENERAL GUIDELINES:
- Register and reserve a space by visiting Malibu Storage in person, visiting our web site or calling our office at (702) 898-6443. Be prepared to clearly define what you plan to sell, what space you desire, as well as state any special accommodations you will need. We urge Sellers to reserve their space no later than 1 week prior to the event and even earlier if special accommodations are needed.
- To receive written approval for any product or service to be sold at the Malibu Community Yard Sale, a Registration Form must be completed. Malibu's acceptance of any fees is validation that Malibu Storage gives permission to sell products or services identified in Registration Form.
- Sellers have the OPTION to obtain a one day Business License from the Clark County Department of Business Licensees if they wish to handle cash transactions themselves OR Malibu will do this for them under Malibu's Business License for a one-time fee of $3.00.
- If Seller elects to get its' own permit, the permit should be placed in Sellers' personal name, with the business address stated as: 4866 E. Russell Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89120

ARRIVAL GUIDELINES
- A designated space number will be assigned to Seller at the main office anytime after 7:00am.
- When you receive your space number, you will also receive a balloon that you are to attach to your designated space so that Shoppers clearly see your location.
- Upon arrival guest will be given a map of the premises indicating where Sellers and Vendors are located.
- Seller parking will be allowed off-site. Parking within Malibu Storage will be reserved for Shoppers only.
FEES
RAFFLE PRIZES: Vendors & Sellers have the OPTION to purchase raffle tickets to win a FREE IPOD or FREE 6 months of Storage (10x10). Drawing will be held at 3:45PM on the day of the Yard Sale.
1 Raffle Ticket = $1.00 / 5 Raffle Tickets = $3.00
PARKING:
All Sellers are encouraged to park for FREE off-site in order to maximize the availability of on-site parking for the Shoppers. Special allowances for a $3.00 fee may be available based on availability.
BUSINESS LICENSE:
If Seller does not have a Business License, they may elect to sell under the Business License of Malibu Storage for a fee of $3.00 or apply for a Business License from the Clark County Dept. of Business Licenses and pay their fee.
SPACE FEES
Sellers may use their own set-up materials in their selling space (i.e. table, display, tent, etc.)
$9.00 = 10’ x 10’ uncovered space.
$19.00 = 10’ x 10’ covered storage unit (which includes 10’x10’ in front of storage unit too).
$29.00 = 10’ x 20’ covered storage unit (which includes 10’x10’ in front of storage unit too).
- Larger sizes = $ rate based on size and availability.
OPTIONAL VALUE - For $1.00 Seller can elect to store goods in their selected covered storage space for 30 days immediately following participation in the Yard Sale.
- NOTE: For as long as Seller elects to remain a storage customer of Malibu Storage, there is NO SPACE FEE charge for future Yard Sales.
“CURRENT CUSTOMER” FEES
- Malibu Storage Customers:
- NO SPACE FEE if current Malibu Storage Customer (in good standing) uses their “Existing Site” location.
- If need additional space, a discount of 50% off standard rates noted above apply.
PAYMENT
Malibu Storage accepts cash, cashier’s checks and major credit cards (except American Express).
- NOTE: If a Shopper elects to pay for product or services via a major credit card, Seller has the OPTION to have Malibu Storage process this sale for them for a processing fee of 6.0% of the purchase price.
- Receipt Books must be used by Sellers who desire Malibu Storage to collect all sales revenue due to their election to sell under Malibu’s Business License.
- Seller will send Shopper to a Malibu Storage cashier holding at least one receipt showing the Price charged for an item, Vendor # and Vendor Name. Malibu will collect the funds and mark receipt PAID, at which time Shopper will return Paid Receipt to Seller to release goods purchased.
- Seller has the OPTION to purchase Receipt Books for $3.00 per book at the Malibu Storage main office.
- SPECIAL NOTE: We encourage Sellers to contact the main office to verify “Payment Received” by the main office when large sales transactions are involved.
COMMON QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
- What if I want to sell product at the Yard Sale without getting a City Business License?
The city will allow you to sell your product under the business license of Malibu Storage. You can make this convenient choice on your Registration Form. However, this means Malibu Storage must collect ALL sales revenue on Seller’s behalf (i.e. cash or credit card payments). At the end of the Yard Sale, Malibu Storage will immediately remit (in cash) 100% of all cash sales to Seller (less sales tax), and will send a check, within 7-10 days, for all sales transacted via a major credit card (less sales tax and 6.0% credit card processing fee).
- Can I bring my vehicle on the premises during the yard sale?
Yes - during set-up and take-down ONLY. However, for the safety of our Shoppers and to accommodate for added Shopper parking, no vehicles will be allowed on the premises during the yard sale operating hours (9:00AM-4:00PM) unless special requests have been authorized.
Submit special parking requests, prior to the day of the sale, to the main office of Malibu Storage. Additional fees may apply.
- Will utilities be available for Sellers?
Access to water or electricity may be available based on location of desired space. Additional fees may apply based upon usage.
- When will my reservation and unit placement be confirmed?
We will be able to confirm your space location after registration documents are approved and all fees have been received. Reservations made within 48 hours of yard sale may result in Sellers being notified of their position on the day of the yard sale.
- For questions or concerns during the yard sale, who should I contact?
Malibu Storage staff will be located in the main office and throughout the property. Staff will be dressed in ALL BLACK shirt & pants.
- In the case of an emergency, who should I contact?
Contact any of our staff members immediately and if additional help is needed, they will contact the proper authorities. If you do call 911, immediately notify our staff so they can provide easy access for any emergency vehicles.
- What if weather cancels the Yard Sale?
In the event of severe weather conditions, we will postpone the Yard Sale to the following day, Sunday. If Sunday is also cancelled due to weather, the Yard Sale will be postponed to the following Saturday.
- What do I do with my extra boxes and trash when I leave?
All Sellers are required to dispose of their boxes, packing materials and trash off-site.
- What if I miss my reservation on the day of the yard sale?
For refund of fees, reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the start of the Community Yard Sale event.

- A copy of Vendor’s Business License in the Vendor’s personal or business name.
- A driver’s license or another form of government issues I.D.
